At Curriculum Companion, we provide teacher created PowerPoint presentations to launch each theme as well as presentations that correspond with each Teacher Read Aloud, Reading Selection, and the Reading-Writing Workshop. The presentations can be viewed with the entire class, in small groups, or independently by students. They are aligned with the content of the Houghton Mifflin adoption and provide additional information and visual clues for students to help build background knowledge. All presentations are provided as Flash presentations, in PDF format, and as a PDF handout. The PDF handout is perfect for teacher lesson planning, student interaction with the content of the presentation, and providing information for parents about the current theme or writing being taught at school.
